THE PROCESS TO CONQUERED A PART OF THE IBERIAN PENINSULA WAS BETWEN THE 711 AND THE 720, IN THAT YEAR THEY HAD ALMOST THE CONTROLED OF ALL THE IBERIAN PENINSULA.
IN THE 711, THE VISIGOTH KING RODRIGO WAS DEFETED BY THE MUSLIMS IN THE BATTLE OF GUADALETE. THE VISIGOTHS WERE A POWERFULL GERMANIC TRIBE.
TROOPS COMMANDED BY TARIQ IBN ZIYAD HAD JUST CROSSED THE STRAIT OF GIBRALTAR AND HAD ARRIVED IN SOUTHERN SPAIN. IN LESS THAN 5 YEARS, THE MUSLIMS RULED MOST OF THE IBERIAN PENINSULA, NOT JUST COMBAT. JUST RAN OUT TO CONQUER THE NORTH OF THE PENINSULA.
